Service Description

Seeking the right professional development for yourself and your team can be a challenge. You may have spent hours negotiating a variety of training offers that may appear impressive, but just don't seem to fit with your current cohort, community or setting. Alternatively, you and/or your staff, may be repeatedly returning from training feeling reassured that you are on the 'right track' but without the inspiration to strengthen and inform high quality practice. The reality is often not the ideal. Why not consider a different approach. Let the collaboration begin with observations and discussions that inform specific lines of enquiry which resonate specifically with your setting, educators and cohort. Coaching and mentoring collaborations for individual or team support can include * Instructional Coaching / Mentoring * Observation and feedback * Team reflection and facilitation * Strategies for improvement * Implementations plans * Supporting action research There are many definitions of coaching and mentoring often aligned with the relationships of knowledge and experience with those involved. To be successful, both are based upon trust and supportive relationships. Effective coaching can mitigate a train and pray approach and provide the missing link between training and changing practice. Instructional coaching, also known as dialogical coaching is a collaborative approach, working together as partners balancing advocacy with inquiry. Consultancy rates are usually charged by the hour, however this can be negotiated dependent upon the needs of the request.
